What to Expect

If you’re not familiar with being in a church – please read on!

For the oldies (over 18….)

Our Sunday meeting begins at 10:00am and finishes at approximately 11:15am. During this time you can expect some singing, prayer, bible readings and a talk. There may be updates and information from groups within the church, skits or people sharing their own stories of faith. Communion (sharing the bread and the juice that reminds us of Jesus’ death for us) occurs every alternate Sunday. Anyone who loves Jesus is welcome to join in—no one will mind if you don’t. You choose.

If you want to find out what in particular is coming up, look here.

For the young’uns

We have a programme on Sunday mornings during term time for children and youth. Children, youth and leaders join with the church for the first 10 or 15 minutes and then head upstairs. Visitors are welcome. Backstage is for year 7 and up, Aqua Splash for primary school aged children, Springs for 3 – 4 years olds and Bubbles for under 2’s.

On the first floor is a room where parents can sit with active or unsettled babies and toddlers – you can see and hear the service – but we can’t hear you! There’s a changing table there. Parents with young children are welcome to join us in the Auditorium and come and go upstairs if you need to. You are welcome to breast feed wherever you’re comfortable.

Can we help?

Sometimes people come to church facing particular difficulties or struggles. If talking about these things would help, please ask the person at the Welcome Desk, the person leading the service or the person who meet you at the door to introduce you to someone from our pastoral liaison team. We’d love to stand beside you in whatever you’re going through.

Other Stuff

Our Sunday morning meeting is followed by morning tea—tea from the servery at the back of the auditorium, coffee in the foyer, and kids drinks in the side of the auditorium. Espresso coffee is (sometimes!) available for $2:00 a cup. Please linger a while and let us get to know you.

Toilets are located off the front foyer and on the top floor.

We have a variety of discussion groups, youth groups and community service groups. If you’d like more information or have any questions about today’s service, talk to the person on the Welcome Desk or the service leader.
